How safe is HRT, after having uterine cancer 30 yrs ago? I had a hysterectomy still have ovaries?

I had uterine cancer when I was 15, my oncologist/gyn said he felt that it was a result of my mother having taken DES, when she was pregnant with me. My mother only remembers taking a pink vitamin, during her pregnancy w/ me. I had read that they gave women “vitamins” but, it was really DES. Which caused cancers in the womens’ offspring at puberty or adulthood. SupposedIy DES, was drug to prevent miscarriages.I was born in 1960.
